This position will lead the test activities for applications and system software written for Smartphones, Tablets and various embedded devices running high level OS like Android, Linux, Windows etc. Creation and management of software testing process, over entire software development lifecycle. Collaboration across all teams to drive product and process improvement in test execution, system/integration test automation, and release quality measurement & assessment via software development and QA metrics. Responsible for determining the best way a test can be performed in order to achieve 100% test coverage of all components using different test process. Excellent result driving capabilities and strong problem solving skills are desired. Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 5 years experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternate Education/Experience requirement: Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 3 years experience.This position will also involve working closely with the server services team, development of test frameworks covering client-server communication and server, development of operational deployment testing tools, and the validation of technical specification and API documentation. Work closely with development team to resolve issues, ensure thorough testing from a business perspective, understand support issues, release high quality products to production, etc. Responsible for determining the best way a test can be performed in order to achieve 100% test coverage of all components using different test process. Excellent result driving capabilities and strong problem solving skills are desired.

• Must Have
  • Experience in creating a process to test a software product, through its entire lifecycle, in order to make sure the product meets applicable specifications
  • Proficient in planning, writing, and executing test specifications.
  • Experience with writing Test plan and design/develop the automation.
  • Practical experience in software development/testing and debugging mobile handset platforms.
  • Experience in Java/C++, C, SQL, HTTP.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Unix/Redhat Linux experience.
  • Experience using bug databases.
  • PERL or Python scripting, Shell scripting.
• Good to have
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (sockets and TCP/IP programming).
  • Understanding of wireless and networking protocols (UMTS, WiFi, WIMAX, SIP/VoIP, RTP, HTTP).
  • Experience with Android Development Environment and Integrated Testing Framework is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Internet security related issues such as client authentication or common exploits and vulnerabilities
