Signs of a fast growing company

Corporate messages: Interesting/fun/excitement in fast growing company. Innovative problem solving. Cost-efficiency. Humanizing.

How do you know if your company is doing well and going places?

Cash-flow Analysis? business plans? None of the above.  It is the physical manifestation of a Breakroom.

We recently expanded our office as we are growing at a rapid pace to accommodate the new employees and business operations. Having worked from a very small office space with submarine quarters, it was a revelation to have a break room in the new spaces. What is a break room anyway? It’s been so long for everyone in the founding team that I think we need a recall

a room at a business which is set aside for coffee breaks, snacks, lunches, etc.; also called lunchroom

Looking at the definition, we decided to add “digital media entertainment activities” into the mix. i.e. a TV and a console game system. This is after a vigorous debate with the rest of the team (The guys voted ‘yes’ entirely with absent non-votes from the girls)  and deciding how to bootstrap this venture -  everyone chipping in their dollars into the hat to find the best bang-for-your-buck setup.

I’m praying for a Nintendo Wii or a PS3.
