Letter to Maria and Pam
My heartfelt thank you to the two of you for organizing and hosting such an interesting meeting last Friday -- the ETF Partner Ladies Appreciation Breakfast at the Communities Foundation of North Texas. My thanks also to your respective organizations - the NTXRCIC and Entrepreneurs for North Texas and the wonderful work you are doing to nurture the entrepreneurship spirit in our local communities and helping/mentoring start-ups like SNRLabs!
It was indeed a meeting of minds and sharing of common interests that drive small businesses -- be it based on mobile applications, innovative sensor technology, or secure e-payments. For this techie engineer, it was enlightening to hear about the significant progress being made by local small businesses and research foundations towards cancer detection and treatments -- sounds like there is some excellent synergy in that area among the wide range of large and small organizations needed to attack and solve this threat.
Thanks to Pat Lockerd for introducing (or in many cases re-introducing!) the group to Wednesday's Child and for highlighting the work that your organization is doing to bring "hope and healing to North Texas children in foster care". I invite everyone reading this entry to visit the Wednesday's Child website and think about how one may get involved!Hope everyone in the room got a chance to "indulge" in your "joy of the day"! Looking forward to more meetings like this!
